Eld Agent

Eld Agent is an application that runs on a small Linux PC and communicates with BMS via the CANBus protocol.

It reads real-time data on SOC, SOH, error codes, alarms, and more.

Data is collected in packets and sent in real-time or at a configurable frequency to Eld Cloud.

Eld Agent provides secure communication with Eld Cloud.

Eld Agent operates autonomously in the event of a network failure.

All we need to get the Eld Agent up and running on your battery pack is a DBC file for your BMS. A DBC file (Database Container file) specifies how data packets sent over the CAN network are structured, allowing us to decode the messages coming from your BMS. We load the file into the Eld Agent application as part of the configuration, and you’re all set to collect data from your battery packs.

Eld Cloud

Eld Cloud receives data from Eld Agent and stores it in a time-series database.

The data is then exported to a graph client where customers can view and analyse it.

Eld EMS (Roadmap)

Eld Lab is working on software to integrate battery packs with the grid and essentially to build Energy Management System (EMS).

The system will:

  • Control communication between battery packs and power conversion system.
  • Monitor, collect, and analyse data from BMSs and other system components using Eld Agent.
  • AI-driven analytics of battery data in cloud which provides much more accurate estimate for vitals such as the State of Charge.
  • Offer a set of APIs that provide information on system status, including all data the customer wants.
  • Eld Lab develops software based on open-source technologies, which provides great flexibility in what we build.
  • We set up cloud software ourselves, significantly reducing the costs.
  • Computers and electronics are handpicked from various manufacturers without the need to create custom solutions, which further reduces costs.
